The Editorial Board of the Journal makes every effort to comply with the ethical standards accepted by the international scientific community and to prevent any violations of these standards. In the event of detection of violations of the principles, standards and norms of scientific ethics accepted by the international community, the Editorial Board of the Journal undertakes to act in accordance with the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, https://publicationethics.org/ ), which apply to all participants in the process of preparing and publishing articles: the Editorial Board, authors and reviewers.
Rights, duties and responsibilities of the Editorial Board and the editorial staff
1. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the journal are responsible for the scientific reputation of the Journal and the compliance of published materials with international standards of scientific and publication ethics.
2. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal guarantees acceptance or rejection of the manuscript for publication based on its assessment of scientific significance, originality, relevance and compliance with the subject matter of the Journal.
3. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal ensures the validity of the decision to publish the manuscript by involving domestic and foreign scientists, the most competent specialists in the subject of the article, as reviewers.
4. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal undertake to ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts throughout the editorial process and the maintenance of anonymity between authors and reviewers.
5. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal protects the reputation of the authors and takes seriously all cases of plagiarism and other facts of unacceptable behavior during publication. In cases of receipt of substantiated information from a third party that the publication contains significant shortcomings, corrections and explanations are published. In case of violation of ethical principles by the authors, the Editorial Board reserves the right to withdraw the article from the published issue of the Journal after finding out the reasons for the violation.
6. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal, and reviewers must not use unpublished data from manuscripts submitted for review for personal purposes or transfer it to third parties.
7. The Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal undertake to ensure the timeliness and frequency of publication of the Journal.
8. The founder, the Editorial Board and the editorial staff of the Journal are not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the authors of the articles.
Editors’ Responsibilities
1.The Editors of the Journal are responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and transparency of the editorial process. In performing their duties, the Editors adhere to internationally accepted standards of publication ethics, including the principles of Committee on Publication Ethics.
2.Editors are responsible for making decisions on the acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts based on their scientific merit, originality, relevance to the Journal’s scope, and reviewers’ evaluations. The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief. Editorial decisions are made independently and without influence from the Journal’s founder, publisher, or external parties.
3. Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic content, without discrimination based on the authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, ethnicity, or political beliefs. All submissions are treated fairly and objectively. Editors must avoid any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which such conflicts exist.
4. Editors must ensure the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related materials. Information regarding a manuscript is disclosed only to those directly involved in the editorial process (e.g., reviewers and editorial staff). Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal advantage without the explicit written consent of the authors.
Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities of Authors
1. When submitting a manuscript to the Journal, the author(s) must ensure that the manuscript is an original work, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration for publication by another Journal.
2. Authors must ensure that others' research, ideas, words, and graphic material are properly cited through appropriate references and/or properly cited, and bibliographical references are provided in accordance with the requirements of the Journal. The author should only include sources in the bibliography that were actually used in the study, and avoid excessive self-citation.
3. The authors' names should be listed in the manuscript in the order of their contribution to the article. Only those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research and preparation of the manuscript should be listed as authors. Individuals who have assisted in completing the work are acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section at the end of the article.
4. The corresponding author, as a contact person, conducts negotiations with the Editorial Board of the Journal and is responsible for informing co-authors about the stages of manuscript review. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have read and approved the final version of the article and agreed to its publication. All authors of the manuscript are responsible for the information transmitted. The Journal does not allow changes in authorship after preliminary acceptance.
5. The author guarantees the availability of exclusive rights to use the material transferred to the journal. In the event of claims against the founder of the Journal or the Editorial Board, the author undertakes to settle all claims independently and at his own expense. The founder of the Journal and the Editorial Board are not liable to third parties for the violation of the guarantees given by the author.
6. Authors must revise the manuscript in accordance with the comments and suggestions of the editors and reviewers within a period of no more than 15 days.
Fabrication, Falsification, and Manipulation of Data
1.The Journal strictly prohibits any form of data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation. These practices constitute serious violations of publication ethics and undermine the integrity of the scientific record.
Definitions:
- Fabrication refers to the invention of data, results, or experimental findings that were not actually obtained.
- Falsification involves the manipulation of research materials, equipment, processes, or the selective omission or alteration of data such that the research is not accurately represented.
- Manipulation of data includes inappropriate modification of images, figures, or datasets, as well as selective reporting of results to mislead readers.
2. Editorial handling
If the Editors, reviewers, or third parties raise concerns regarding the integrity of data, the Journal will investigate the case in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics. Authors may be requested to provide original data, raw datasets, or supporting documentation to verify the validity of the results.
3. Outcomes and actions
If misconduct is confirmed, the Journal may take appropriate actions depending on the severity of the violation, including:
- rejection of the manuscript;
- publication of a correction or expression of concern;
- retraction of the published article;
- notification of the authors’ affiliated institutions.
4. All actions are taken on a case-by-case basis, ensuring fairness, transparency, and proportionality.
Duplikate Submission and Redundant Publication
1.The Journal does not accept manuscripts that are under consideration by another journal or have been previously published in whole or in part.
2.Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration elsewhere.
3. Redundant publication occurs when a paper substantially overlaps with one already published, without proper citation or justification. This includes:
- publication of the same data or results in multiple journals;
- minimal modification of previously published work;
- fragmentation of a single study into multiple publications (“salami slicing”).
4. If duplicate submission or redundant publication is detected, the Journal may:
- reject the manuscript;
- retract the published article;
- inform the authors’ institutions.
All cases are handled in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics.
Rights, duties and responsibilities of reviewers
1. All manuscripts submitted to the Journal are sent for review to an independent experts on the recommendation of the Scientific Editor/members the Editorial Board in accordance with the area of scientific and professional interests.
2. Reviewers should pay attention to the novelty and/or originality of the research, the absence of similarities between the manuscript and other published articles, the completeness and correctness of the author(s) citing articles related to the topic (problem) under consideration. Reviewers should clearly express their opinion, explaining and justifying the comments made and be as objective as possible in their assessment of the manuscript.
3. The reviewer is obliged to inform The Editorial Board or the editorial staff of any financial, administrative or personal conflicts of interest that may affect the perception and interpretation of the manuscript materials and to refuse to review if such conflicts are discovered.
4. If the reviewer suspects plagiarism, authorship or falsification of data, he/she must notify the editorial staff of the Journal about this.
5. The reviewer undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of any information provided by the Editors or the author. Not to discuss unpublished material with third parties and not to use the information contained therein for personal purposes.
Ethical approval for the use of animals
Experiments using animals should be carried out in accordance with the principles established by the International Animal Ethics Committee and must have the approval of the local ethics committee, which should be referred to in the Materials and Methods section.
Corrections to Published Articles
1. Corrections to published articles are made in cases of unintentional errors that affect a limited part of the publication but do not compromise the overall reliability of the study. Such errors may include inaccuracies in author names, incorrectly formatted citations, typographical errors, incorrect wording or factual details, as well as omissions of relevant information.
2.When corrections are required, the Editorial Board ensures that appropriate amendments are made to the original publication in agreement with the authors. A formal correction notice is published on the Journal’s website and linked to the original article to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the scientific record.
3. Minor typographical errors or inaccuracies that do not affect the interpretation of the article may be corrected without issuing a separate notice; however, the Journal may indicate that changes have been made.
Article retraction policy
1. In some cases, the Editorial Board of the Journal may decide to withdraw an article (retract). Thus, an article will be officially retracted if, after publication, a violation of publication ethics requirements is discovered (discovery of plagiarism, publication of the article in another Journal, etc.) or serious errors are discovered that call into question the scientific value of the article. In such circumstances, the editors publish a statement of retraction of the article, posting it on the relevant page of the next issue and on the official website of the Journal (see the Order of Retraction of Articles https://bulletinofscience.kazatu.edu.kz/index.php/bulletinofscience/order_of_retraction).
2. The Journal may impose sanctions, including temporary restrictions on future submissions, depending on the severity of the violation.
Privacy policy
1.The Journal collects and processes personal information provided by authors, including names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID identifiers, for the purposes of manuscript submission, editorial processing, and publication. By submitting a manuscript, authors consent to the publication of this information as part of the article metadata, ensuring proper attribution, indexing, and discoverability of their work.
2.Personal data are used solely to support the editorial and publication process and to facilitate communication between the Journal, authors, and the scientific community. Additional information provided by authors (e.g., telephone numbers) is used only for editorial correspondence during manuscript handling.
3.The Journal does not share personal data with third parties for purposes unrelated to publication and takes appropriate measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of such information.
