Small Aral Sea in 2018-2019 during the research period, 38 species of invertebrates were identified as zooplankton organisms. Bivalve mollusc larvae are found in all areas of the sea. It was found that the composition of zooplankton species in 2019 has expanded compared to 2018. The rapid development of C. aquaedulcis crustaceans has led to the predominance of rowing crustaceans in the total number and biomass of zooplankton. The predominance of this group was observed in all professional areas. In general, the average quantitative indicators of the zooplankton community were very low. The reason for the very low average biomass of invertebrates may be the low water temperature at the time of sampling, the depth of the biotope, the low number of crustaceans, depending on the summer season. In addition, the increase in pressure of local planktophagous fish species and juveniles on zooplankton as a food object also has an impact.
