PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF THE GENERAL AND PHYTOSANITARY CONDITION OF THE GREEN BELT OF ASTANA

According do the results of the first year survey abiotic and biotic diseases of trees and shrubs of the Green belt around Astana.Surveys of forest plantations of 7 Green belt forestries were carried out from the second 10-day period of May and first 10 day period of October 2018. The General condition of the Green belt plantations is mainly good. Diseases of forest plantations of abiotic character (soil, temperature and humidity conditions) are more in the Western and North-Western parts of the green belt. As for biotic diseases of forest plantations, their occurrence depends more on the humidity factor of the area, species and plant species in specific areas. Although these diseases occur in single plants and have sporadic distribution, it is necessary to monitor them closely and, first of all, to eliminate such foci as sources of dangerous infections.
