Abstract

Background and Objective. Kazakh melon (Cucumis melo L.) is well known worldwide for its exceptional fruit taste. Currently, melon production fully satisfies domestic demand; however, expansion of cultivated areas is required for export development. The main production of melon crops in the country is concentrated in the southern and south-eastern regions, where soil and climatic conditions are favorable for large-scale cultivation. In this regard, in order to improve productivity and fruit quality, the present study was aimed at optimizing the cultivation technology of melon under two soil-climatic conditions of south-eastern Kazakhstan.
