Abstract

This article presents the results of research of the productivity and reproductive ability of ducks of the collection herd of «Bishkul Poultry Farm» LLP, located in the North Kazakhstan region. During the research period, an incubation egg collected in the breeding group from the laid linesand the laying were carried out, 100 breeding nests of the paternal and maternal lines were completed from the resulting offspring.Egg production per laying hen for 40 weeks of the cycle were 185 eggson the maternal sideand 190 eggs on the paternal side, the yield of incubation eggs on the maternal line is 93%, and on the paternal line is 95%; fertilization is in the range of 86-87% on both lines. The selection of the paternal line to increase meat performance and maintain the level of fertility made it possible to provide a body weight at 7 weeks of age at the level of 2792 g for drakes, and 2518.4 g for ducks.
