The use of LED lighting (LED) in the photoculture of plants seems to be promising due to their high luminous efficiency, the ability to regulate the radiation spectrum, long working life and a number of other characteristics. This article presents the results of an experiment using experimental copies of domestically produced greenhouse LED lamps intended for use as a source of photosynthetic active radiation (PAR) when growing tomato seedlings in rack systems. The preference was revealed in the use of an LED irradiator for growing seedlings, as it provides a greater growth in the diameter of the stem (by 14% relative to the control lamp). When using the control irradiator, a greater increase in the height of the stem was observed, but with a decrease in its diameter.
