Abstract

In article is given the characteristic of a historiography of research of history of the Siberian Cossacks in the XIX-XX centuries. The history of the Cossacks found the greatest reflection in works of the Russian scientists. All aspects of life of the Cossacks are reflected in these works. The Siberian Cossacks played a special role colonizations of Steppes, and also in suppression of national liberation movements of the Kazakh people. Many researchers paid close attention to a control system in the Siberian Cossack army. But I remained less studied ethnocultural relationship of Cossacks and Kazakhs.
