Features of education as a major investment in human capital are considered in the article. For the present stage of the world's scientific, technical and socio-economic development is characterized by a fundamental change in the role and importance of the
human factor in the economy and society. Human capital is the most important factor of economic growth. The author emphasizes the fact that the more qualitative training of specialists capable to adapt to the changing conditions and technologies throughout their lives, the more efficient the country's economic development.
