Abstract

Yields of the new promising variety “Kokshetauskiy 14” made up 108 centners per ha of herbage, 22.4 of hay and 2.3 of seeds. The excess over the standard of the yield of herbage made up 25.6%, hay - 35.7% and seeds - 43.7%. The spring renewal of grass is intense and slightly damaged by weevils, regrowth is good after the first mowing. Winter hardiness and drought resistance are high.
The vegetation period before the first mowing is 44 days and the period before full ripeness of seeds is 81 days. The damage of powdery mildew is slight. By the foliage it exceeds the standard by 8%, respectively, protein content by 0.9%.
