DETERMINATION OF THE VOLUME OF SPORTS AND AMATEUR FISHING (SAF) ON THE MAIN FISHING RESERVOIRS OF KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

A large number of valuable fish are caught unaccounted for by recreational fishing. This creates an increased load on bioresources. Therefore, the task of determining the volume of fish caught by sports and amateur fishing is relevant. The essence of this scientific study is to assess the role of recreational fishing and its impact on the ichthyofauna. Also, in the course of the study, a methodological basis was developed for assessing the scale and volume of recreational fishing. The scientific significance lies in the fact that for the first-time large-scale studies of sports and amateur fishing were carried out in all major reservoirs of Kazakhstan. The practical significance of the research lies in the development and
testing of a method for determining the volume of recreational fishing, using mathematical modeling.
The research methodology includes a simplified methodology for determining the volume of recreational fishing. Developed by V.N. Krainyuk in 2022. Based on
calculated indicators and data obtained through surveys, questionnaires and experimental fishing.
The main results of the work were the determination of the number of amateur fishermen and their catches in the main reservoirs of Kazakhstan. Studies have
established that recreational fishing has a significant impact on the number of ichthyofauna.
The value of the work lies in the fact that for the first time a scientific study of such a vast area of fisheries as sports and amateur fishing was carried out. Obtained
data on the volume of fish withdrawal, the structure of recreational fishing. The practical significance of the research is that a scientific and methodological basis has been created for accounting for fish caught by recreational fishing.
