Abstract

In 2015, fish protection facilities located inPetropavlovsk and Amangeldy reservoirs were examined within the framework of the 212 Budget Programme. According to the research found, in these intakes mechanical type fish protection devicesare used, filter screens with a hole diameter of 4 mm, this prevents the fish from entering the intake length from 30 mm. Due to the fact, that the work on the survey of fish protection devices at water intakes were carried out in the autumn, when the most of young fish species exceed 45 mm in length, netting fish protection screens have efficiency of 100%.
