Abstract

In Kazakhstan the direction of organic products is growing rapidly.According to FAO, about 300 thousand hectares, 29 producers and 19 processing companies were certified in compliance with international standards. The growth of organic market in Kazakhstan is accompanied by the intensification of national lawmaking aimed at developing the demand for organic agriculture, creating an organizational, methodological basis. Documentation is developed and adopted taking into account national or regional conditions.Due to the global diversity of national geographical, agronomic, differences in technical conditions, standards of organic production, processing are justified and can be accepted. However, the diversity of regulatory documentation often hinders the movement of organic products. The recognition of equivalence- the recognition that different standards can contribute to the
achievement of common goals, is applicable in international trade. Due to the urgency of the recognition of the equivalence of national standards with international requirements, the indicators of the organic market were reviewed, an analysis of the regulatory and technical basis in the sphere of organic production inKazakhstan was conducted, and potential mechanisms providing equivalence and mutual recognition were presented. The purpose of the study is to bring proposals for the recognition and assessment of the equivalence
