Abstract

In the conditions of vertical zonality of soils for the first time in Kazakhstan conducted researches on studying of the reasons of degradation of pastures and development of methods of their restoration in the specific area. On the basis of geobotanical research farms area were divided into seasons of use, with allocation of plant associations. The account of productivity of natural grass stands on seasons of year is carried out and the gain of live weight of animals for the pasture period is defined. During the implementation of the work, conditions were created for the restoration of degraded pastures with an increase in the growth and development of
vegetation cover to 15-18% and increase of livestock production by rational grazing up to 12%. It was found that the use of seasonal grazing provides more live weight gain of the studied animals compared to animals that graze in one place with a haphazard manner grazing.
