Abstract

The article deals with the use of an electromagnet for a water treatment system of a thermal power plant. An electro hydrodynamic water activator is proposed to reduce the deposits of hardness salts on the heat exchange surfaces of boiler units and heat exchangers. The article presents the results of the practical implementation of magnetic treatment of circulating water in the cooling system of the mill of the boiler unit. The use of an electromagnet can significantly reduce the formation of scale of hardness salts in the pipelines of boiler units and heat exchangers. The design of an electro hydrodynamic water activator is given and its main parameters are given. Practical testing of an electro hydrodynamic water activator in the boiler room of a thermal power plant is presented. It was found that the effect of a magnetic field on water is of a complex multifactorial nature. The magnetic field intensifies the development of the sludge formation process, and also accelerates the process of sedimentation of suspended particles and allows you to remove all kinds of suspensions from the water. Accelerates and transforms the process of crystallization of hardness salts, with their transfer into a liquid stream.
