Abstract

The article considers the technology and equipment of waterjet and abrasive waterjet machining. Kinematic scheme of waterjet machining devices of metal and other materials is listed in the article. Machine models for waterjet cutting of the most
famous brands were considered. According to the research: the dependence of cutting speed to metal thickness for various materials; minimal heat generation, which enables precise cut material, efficiency in comparison with plasma treatment of materials, ability of cutting thick materials were explored.
