Abstract

Currently, when introducing new varieties of grain crops into the agricultural production of Northern and Central Kazakhstan, yield growth is practically not observed. This is due to the low level of breeding work development. In these regions, increasing the level of effectiveness of work in the field of creating new varieties of grain crops requires a fundamentally new approach. At the same time, the success of breeding in Northern and Central Kazakhstan depends not only on changes in the conditions of its organization, personnel policy, strengthening the material and technical base, but also on changes in the regulatory provisions of breeding work with grain crops. Stable grain production in Northern and Central Kazakhstan can be promoted by such unconventional and low-spread crops as spring triticale, winter wheat and winter rye.
